Hear what makes working at Laserfiche different than any other place in the world?

Meet Ryan

Ryan
Software Engineer, Imaging
University of Wisconsin, Electrical Engineering

Laserfiche was a good fit for me. In college, I've been involved in academic research in image processing and this is a natural extension of that. Everyday, I work with a talented and diverse group of people including some of my colleagues from the Shanghai office. The people around me are very supportive and I've been encouraged to take control of my projects and given the resources to implement the solutions I see fit.

The weather in Long Beach is also excellent. There's no snow in the winter. Long Beach has a cool ocean breeze, it's like spring every day of the year.

Meet Fei

Fei
Solutions Consultant
Caltech, Electrical Engineering

At Laserfiche, I examine the problems that Laserfiche customers are facing and gives them solutions. I get to be in the process from the beginning: even before the deal is done, I’m on-site for the demo, helping sales win the deal. Later, I do needs analysis, create a solution, and implement it. I code and deliver the customization, train the customers to use our products, and support them if they have any issues.

I always wanted to work in a smaller company, where I’d have more opportunity to learn and go in directions I haven’t tried before. Here at Laserfiche, I get a very complete view. I see the big picture: how do people in the real world use our products and what are the specific problems they encounter. If I want to get very technical, I can—and I’m still doing the technical things I was trained on. But I also get exposure to new areas of business and industry.

Don’t be intimidated by the job description. I’ve found that what they list there is what they expect you to do in the job, not necessarily what you need to know going in. As long as they see something in you, see that you’re smart, they’re willing to give you a chance.

Technical Writer

Laserfiche gives me the freedom to think outside of the box. They allow me to implement my own ideas. They also listen to my concerns and are open to any suggestions I have that I think might make the technical publications better and more intuitive for end users.

The sky is the limit to how much they let me take on. There is lots of room for growth and continued education. If I decided I wanted to try my hand at coding, they would not only allow me to do it, they would provide the classes or training sessions I would need in order to be successful. Laserfiche is a company that cares about its employees.

Meet Linda

Linda
Account Manager
Claremont Graduate School, Psychology

As the Account Manager for the UK and Ireland, I’m responsible for providing services and care to our existing Laserfiche end-users as well as managing all distribution channels in the region. The position incorporates both sales and marketing, and that hybrid nature is what I enjoy the most. I’m not pigeon-holed in one narrow task, but am able to develop a holistic understanding of the business while refining hands-on business skills.

I contacted users about their product experiences and solutions to their document management needs and collaborate with resellers to developed a plan to penetrate the market. Within months, my efforts in building collaborative partnership in the sales channels is starting to receive positive feedback.

I have really come to appreciate the great team work and mentorship here. Since I came on board, I’ve gotten a lot of help from my colleagues across departments. Since we share a common objective of providing best-of-class document management solutions to organizations, we are willing to share experiences and insights with each other. Certainly, the good communication is largely facilitated by our daily catered lunch.
