Description
Laserfiche is seeking a Software Engineer, Cloud Infrastructure to design, build, and maintain tools and systems that enhance the reliability, scalability, and automation of our cloud environment.
In this role, you’ll write and test code, develop solutions to reduce operational overhead, and improve incident response and system stability. You’ll work closely with application and support teams to troubleshoot infrastructure issues, implement monitoring improvements, and provide technical guidance across departments. Success in this position requires strong programming skills (e.g., Go, Python, JavaScript), experience with cloud platforms like AWS, containerization tools like Docker or Kubernetes, and a solid foundation in systems administration and networking. Your work will be key to ensuring a robust and resilient cloud infrastructure.

*Local candidates near our Long Beach, CA headquarters will have a hybrid work arrangement with in-office collaboration from Tuesday to Thursday (Monday/Friday remote).
About Role - Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize software engineering standards, processes, and techniques
- Write and test code for existing and new programs
- Develop tools to reduce toil, improve incident handling, and increase system stability
- Monitor systems, respond to trends and suggest improvements and implement automation
- Provide documentation and training on appropriate ways to use the systems for partner teams
- Communicate technical feasibility of design ideas, suggestions on changes to resource allocations to improve system availability
- Keep up to date on modern technologies and trends, advocating for their inclusion or adoption
- Coordinate with application software and support engineers to maintain and improve system reliability
- Implement highly significant user stories with minimal direction and oversight
- Investigate, mitigate, document, and address cloud system issues across services and systems infrastructure, and provide communication on impact and resolutions
- Engage in post-issue analysis to improve incident response and handling
About You - Essential Qualifications:
- Programming with one or more high level language such as Go, Python, JavaScript, etc.
- Familiarity with shell scripting using bash; PowerShell knowledge is a plus
- Experienced in systems troubleshooting, preferably including database systems, TCP/IP-based networking, web applications, and Windows and Linux system administration
- Familiarity with containers and their management with Docker or Kubernetes
- Experience with AWS is strongly preferred
- Strong ability to collaborate with and support fellow engineers
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
- Strong communication and documentation writing skills in English
The salary range varies, and pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, certifications (if applicable), candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and years of experience amongst other factors.
- Range: $90,000 - $130,000 per year
