The Technical Project Manager in Laserfiche Consulting has the opportunity to drive the innovative implementation of our products with universities, financial services institutions, local to federal government, and other customer organizations across the United States as they move to digitally transform their operations.

Responsibilities include ensuring the success of software implementation projects with direct customers, from planning, overseeing, communicating, and documenting all aspects of the project throughout the project life cycle to serving as the primary point of contact for the customer. Candidates should be confident, comfortable speaking with customers, and technical enough to assist in the technical implementation of a project.

What You'll Do:

  • Formulates and implements a strategy on how project objectives can be met efficiently, by a project team of 3+ engineers, within the given project constraints (time, budget, quality, etc.)
  • Plans for “best case scenario” as well as incorporates contingencies and fallbacks into the project plan.
  • Coordinates with clients and team members to set expectations, deliverables, and objectives at the onset of the project, and as the project progresses. Proactively addresses deviations from the project plan and mitigates project roadblocks.
  • Uses the right language, tone, and discussion framing techniques when communicating, describing, or explaining issues. Generate the right impact or response from specific audiences (team members, managers, clients, vendors, partners, other stakeholders).
  • Achieves cost efficiencies by optimizing work hours and establishing rationale for the team’s effort.
  • Ability to 1) accurately map out resources, tasks, and dependencies; 2) make timeline estimates and set specific and general schedules; and 3) keep everyone up to speed.
  • Anticipates and mitigates most project discrepancies, overlaps, and other issues due to internal roadblocks. Negotiates paths forward for unforeseen external setbacks.
  • Makes prompt, informed, and fact-based decisions for the good of the project. Assess issues from different vantage points and formulate the best solution in addressing specific challenges.

Security Clearance Requirements
  • This position is assigned to highly sensitive government projects and may require an FBI criminal background check or similar (which require fingerprinting) in addition to the background check Laserfiche conducts for all new employees. All offers of employment for this position will be contingent on the candidate passing all required background checks and, if the candidate is unable to do so, the offer will be withdrawn, or the individual’s employment will be terminated.

  • Reviews tasks critically and ensures they are appropriately estimated to support project timelines and incremental delivery. When taking action, weighs cost and value in order to take the most appropriate action. Uses this thinking in their own work, and to make suggestions to teammates.
  • Ensures project tasks are prioritized correctly, and that dependencies are noted.
  • Ensures their commitments are realistic, understands their priority and urgency, and delivers upon them accordingly. Anticipates and communicates blockers, delays, and cost ballooning for work before they require escalation. Ensures expectations within their team are clarified between all parties involved.
  • Demonstrates desire to learn all aspects of their role and actively conducts research in areas of interest that benefit their project and project team. Actively investigates root causes when troubleshooting and recommends solutions to avoid issues in the future.
  • Usually communicates effectively, clearly, concisely and in an audience-oriented way in written and verbal form both technical and non-technical subjects, to their teammates. Actively listens to others and ensures they are understood. Pays attention to nonverbal communication.
  • Delivers praise and constructive feedback to their team, teammates, and manager in a useful manner. Delivers feedback to their team's and project's business stakeholders when opportunities arise.
  • Actively seeks out feedback from their teammates and manager and works to use feedback that they receive as a tool for growth.
  • Consistently completes assigned tasks with no direction/oversight necessary. Takes the initiative to fix issues or claim tasks before being assigned them.
  • Minimum 5 years of work experience in a software or professional services company
  • 3 year of Project Management experience
  • Bachelor's Degree Required in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field

The salary range varies, and pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, certifications (if applicable), candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and years of experience among other factors.

Pay Range: $103,000 - $127,000
